In this interview, Heidi Calder looks back on her 18 years of work at UTSC, which she joined in 1997, operating in different departments in varying capacities until her departure from the university in 2015. Having been raised in Scarborough, Heidi also offers insights into how the community has changed over time and how the media’s negative portrayal of the community has affected its development. She also comments on safety at UTSC and in Scarborough more broadly.
