A highlight I can say of my experience at UTSC really was working, I think I was so lucky, so fortunate, and I again feel very humbled to have had that opportunity to work with the UTSC Women’s Centre
0:18
because that’s when I really discovered how passionate I can be about something. I never — I don’t think before that I really felt

that passion in anything I had done previously. I mean I have my interests, but really that position and the Women’s Centre, I could feel it. And it was a lot of work, I mean I did a lot of stuff outside of school.

Like so I mean the Women’s Centre, you’re supposed to work like 15 hours. I easily put twenty or more hours every week into just doing extra stuff and that was, but like I didn’t feel like it was a burden. It was a nonstop year, it was very, very busy but I was really, really engaged in it and I was really passionate about it, so that whole experience, it’s not necessarily a moment, but that whole experience is very important to me. So that is a very important experience I take away from UTSC,

and I think the reason why it’s so significant is not only because I’m very passionate about gender equity and social justice issues, but

it really kind of…I engaged in the UTSC community in ways that I had never before.
