Daniel Karagiannis, UTSC’s Electronic Technologist and a long-time resident of Scarborough, looks back on his tenure at the school, which he joined in September 1973. He provides insight into his work involving the maintaining and designing the electromechanical equipment used for teaching research and how technology has changed over time. Daniel also describes his connection with the university in terms of his favourite spaces on campus, such as the gym and valley. Finally, Daniel describes how the number of employees associated with the Electronics Department has significantly decreased over time, despite the university’s increasing reliance on technological processes.
