Professor Katherine (Katie) Larson, Vice-Dean, Teaching, Learning and Undergraduate Programs, joined the Department of English at UTSC in 2007. In this interview, she shares a bit about her educational journey and her interest in Renaissance studies. Katie then talks about the value of the interdisciplinary nature of the large former Humanities Department and the community of colleagues that it afforded before the departmentalization in 2012. She talks about the diversity on campus, some special moments in her teaching and the changing role of technology in the classroom. Finally, Katie reflects on the role of the land and the natural beauty of the campus.
