In this interview, Professor Paula Sperdakos reflects on teaching at UTSC and directing productions in the Leigha Lee Browne Theatre. Sperdakos first came to UTSC in 1990 and shares observations about the physical transformation of the campus, the changes in diversity amongst the campus population, the changes in faculty interactions, and the transformation of departments over time. She then describes the evolution of the drama program, the building of the Leigha Lee Browne Theatre, and the addition of faculty members to the department. Finally, she shares her experiences as a teacher and program director, providing insight on the roles, responsibilities, and how they overlap at UTSC.
