We are interested in investigating the history of the land occupied by the campus: the Indigenous history, settler history, and the acquisition of the land by the province of Ontario and later, the institution that would become UTSC. Indeed, the relationship between the university and the land involves relations of all kinds and has influenced the development of the community in many ways; thus, any examination of our collective history must include a consideration of where we are.
